Auto-Click....
I'm having difficulties with the auto-click feature in Windows Vista. At first it did not bother me too much.... that quickly changed however. It is really starting to get in the way of my work. How do I disable this feature?

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium.
Mouse: Touchpad

Thank you.

What is this "Auto Click" that you are having issues with?
By chance is it the one click vs double click?
If so, Open Windows Explorer, then Organize,, then Folder and search Options. There you can select the Double click and OK yourself out.

When I have my mouse over an icon, link, anything.. after a short period of time, maybe a second, it automatically clicks and opens whatever the mouse is on. Sorry for not explaining better.

Control Panel > click Classic View > click Ease of Access Center > scroll
down, click Make the mouse easier to use > look for the box that says "
Activate a window by hovering over it with a mouse", UN-check that > click
Apply/OK.

This might fix it as well if it is a touchpad.

Go
into control panel / mouse/ device settings/settings/ and UNCHECK "Enable
Tapping" (this is found by highlighting tapping on left).
