When I restart my computer, it seems to go on forever without restarting. Finally manually I will turn it off. (I am running Vista and have not found anything like CTRL-ALT-DELETE that will turn it off. The only way I know how to stop it is to hit the button on the CPU that turns the computer off.) If you have another method, please teach it to me.
Then when I restart, it will ask if I want to fix the problem and I answer YES.
It runs something, gets me up and running, and gives me this message:
"Runner file name (HP Connections.exe) lacks a "-" (the app id separator)".
Someone told me to run RemoveIT Pro v4 - SE.
It found 5 problems, and fixed 2. It tells me try to manually delete these 3 files:
Cannot clean file C:\windows\system32\ui0detect.exe please try to delete this file manually.

I have tried to do the first one, ui0detect.exe. Can't find it in Explorer. I do find it when I hit the start button and search. When I try to delete it, I get a message that I need permission to delete it and the delete bombs out.
I am a single woman and the only user of this computer. I am using an HP Pavilion 7700n slimline running Vista (I know, but the PC came with it).
If you could help me fix this problem, I'd sure appreciate it!!!!
