Solved: Speakers not working
Because my old speakers (Altec) were picking up a radio station, I decided to switch those speakers with the speakers on my other computer. However, the other speakers didn't seem to work at all so I re-hooked my old speakers. Then, I had absolutely no sound at all. I figured that, either way, my speakers' time had come and I bought some new ones.

However, my new speakers aren't working either. I've been looking through everything in sound (under control panel) and I pulled up everything related to audio and sound that I could find on my computer. According to my computer, the speakers *are* working, but in reality, nothing is coming out of them.

However, when I plug my headphones into the front of the computer, the sound works there.
Anybody have an suggestions as to what could be the problem?

Thanks to anyone willing!

Try reinstallling your sound driver. Also do you have a soundcard built into your motherboard? I have a soundcard built into my mohterboard (ASUS) and I also installed a xfi xtreme gamer soundcard. I had to disable the one that was built in though to make sure it would work.
I think you might just need to reinstall your driver though.

Seems you are having a problem with the connections at the back panel.. Is the sound integrated in the mobo or is it an add on ? Have you tried testing the speakers in a different system?

Sorry for too many questions

Reinstalling worked right away. Hmm... it seems kinda strange, but after messing around, I found out that if I plug in any different set of speakers into my computer, I need to reinstall Realtek.

Thanks for everyone's help!
