Hi
Just like to say this is a great forum and I am a new member, so hi.
I have noticed that in firefox, whenever I have a page open such as google, in the search box or any text box I would get spades being typed in and then deleted.
They look like what is shown below:
♠♠♠♠♠♠
I deleted Kaspersky beta because as it is a beta it could cause strange system behaviour and the problem is better but I just get the spades appearing at random (well pretty much all the time actually). Also, until I deleted kaspersky and did some cleaning up (didn't find anything which would indicate to causing this behaviour) if I go back a page the browser would go forward to the page I tried to go back from (ie if I'm on google and the last site I was on was pistonheads, then if I go back to pistonheads the browser would go back to google). This problem doesn't really present itself in IE7 (not as much with the spades), but with both browsers I get the random page changing behaviour.
I've typed this post in a forum before but now it's edited in notepad which protects me from the error. So when I'm filling in a form online, I get those spades being typed into a textbox and then deleted, etc, like someone is actually typing. Fortunately this behaviour doesn't present itself when I am using Visual Studio for programming or MSN to talk to contacts or it'd be very awkward.
Furthermore, with the page changing behaviour, I get the same thing in Windows Explorer.
Any idea what could be causing this behaviour? My friend who is an IT professional said it's due to a corrupt charset but wouldn't that effect all text entry? And how could I fix that (if that is the cause)?
Thanks♠
