Windows failed to start error....
I was working on my laptop and it has Vista installed on it (not factory installed, added later). When I went to log off , it gave me notice that I had some important Windows updates that needed to be installed and those would install before shutting down. The computer did it's thing, downloaded, installed then shut down properly. The next morning, I went to turn on the computer and all I get is a black screen with this message:

Windows Boot Manager

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings and then click Next
3. Click repair your computer

If you do not have this disc, contact your system admin or computer manufacturer for assistance

Filce: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because it is missing or corrupt

Ok, so seems like an easy fix, huh? Well, I got this computer from a friend that needed money quick and I don't have a disc...I called her begging for it and she has no clue where the disc is. My question is, does anyone know how to correct this issue without the installation disc? It's a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
