Windows Vista: Cannot Communicate With Primary DNS Server.
I have a Gateway laptop that was bought preloaded with Windows Vista. While in transit (Moving out of State) the screen somehow cracked but I had it replaced right away. Now, for some strange reason I can't seem to connect to the internet. I've tried every trick I was able to find online and non of them worked. The same error message keeps appearing every time I try to diagnose the problem "Cannot Communicate With Primary DNS Server (192.168.2.254). I've tried numerous times to release/renew my connection via "Command Prompt" with no luck at all. I've done everything to my knowledge except throw it out the window. Everytime I try to renew the IP address through the Command Prompt it keeps saying..

Media Status.................Media Disconnected.

Can anybody help me? because I really have no clue
