Question Error messages displayed on screen
Hi, I wondered if anyone could help with a problem a friend is having with his computer. He is getting error messages when trying to open certain documents such as the word, paint etc. He has recently realised he installed a game via disc which was not vista compatible. He thinks it may be this but is not sure. When he has tried to uninstall the game it will not let him.

The error messages roughly read:

1)

ccsvchst.exe-bad image
c:\windows\system32\dinput.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.

2)

roxio_central33.exe-entry point not found.
?max_size@?$basic_string@du?$char_traits@d@std@@v?$allocator@d@2@@std@@qbei xz...blah blah......dynamic link library msvcp71.dll

Does anyone know what these error messages mean and is there anything he can do to fix the problem?
Also, is there anyway he can uninstall the game he put on? (i'm ashamed to say it was Scooby Doo, sorry Dave .....)

He has tried doing a system restore but it will not allow him to do so.

If the only way he can fix the problem is to re-install the system disk he got with the computer can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks for any help offered.
