Problem with Acer laptop
Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5710 laptop which I bought seven months ago, loaded with Windows Vista. It was fine till 15 days ago but has been repeatedly crashing since. There used to be a problem earlier where it would crash if playing a multimedia file (like a video/movie). Now it just crashes randomly for no reason at all. Whenever it crashes I feel the bottom of the laptop to see if it overheated. Often it is very hot but then laptops do get pretty hot usually too?

Anyone got an idea about what the problem might be? Is it an Acer or Aspire thing? Anyone had a similar issue with the laptop? I can't work on it at all and it is a big problem. In fact even as I type this it seems to be slowing down, for example when it was loading the smiley icons there seemed to be an issue with it.

Would be really really grateful for any help.

Thank you,

Robin

EDIT: Oops, this should've been in the Vista forum shouldn't it have! Sorry about that.
