Hi, I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden everything in Vista went wonky.
I can't open Outlook, Deleting items from the recycle bin don't work. IT just hangs or locks.
Opening a folder can take a long time and then it just freezes too...
Is this something wrong with explorer? I have no idea? I am an average user still trying to figure out Vista (Home Premium is my version). This is a brand new computer (HP).
I would really appreciate ALL help. I have to get back up and running for work!.

you havent been browsing internet without antivirus or antispyware since you got it have you?
the general screw up and slow down could be caused by malicious software

I do have AV, Bitdefender... ran a scan and all is well... one trojan found, from 5 months ago...

although this may have to be a HijackThis log to answer this, my first suggestion would be to download, superantispyware from
superantispyware.com and run a full scan, delete all malicious software it finds and see if makes any difference to your system
