Vista woes
Hi

I have just bought an Amilo dual core 32 bit laptop which unfortunately came with Vista.
I have been using /trying for the past week and will make no further comment
as Im sure it has been all said before.
Suffice to say I reformatted and started to load my XP. All went well until
it suddenly announced that it could find no hard drive and wanted to exit.
HDD was formatted in w32 and ntfs but no joy in either. Similarly with 98 -thats how desperate I am.
I then found out that they could live side by side and tried again. So reinstalled Vista and tried xp and. the same thing happened.None of the posts that I have read seem to have had this problem.Any advice ????
Also I can do nothing with the Bios which does not even allow me to see the Advanced Options.
This has Execute Disable bit - enabled. I have disabled but no luck.
This feature activates a CPU support for the no execution memory protection. Bios is Phoenix 1.14c and KBC 1.11 whatever that is.
This has been the worst memo I have ever typed as the cursor keeps leaping all over the page instead of following on.

Thanks in advance

If a SATA hard drive you need to install the SATA drivers for XP.
