Cool Solved: Conecting to an active directory in Vista
I am currently running Vista ultimate 32-bit and windows server 2003 standard edition on separate machines and i am trying to connect to my active directory in vista but every time i try to connect after making a few tweaks or restarting my network i get the same message as follows.
The Following Error Occurred attempting to connect to domain "xxx":
An Attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please Verify this client is configured to to reach a DNS server that can resolve in the target domain.

My Hardware is:
A Dell Demension 2400
Upgraded Graphics Card
Upgraded Audio
Upgraded CD/DVD
Upgraded Hard Drive
Upgraded Ram

Active Directory
Sounds to me like when you restart, you DNS settings get changed to point to another IP other than the Domain controller(DNS Server) make sure to put a static address in the vista machine that points DNS to the server,

I Forgot to mention that I have a Telus route with Telus defaults installed that a almost completely unchangeable but after a few hours trying to change the settins i finaly got it to work.
