I think if you read some of the past posts you'll find the people that hate Vista are the ones who have upgraded to Vista.
The newer machines that were made for Vista run great. I've been lovin Vista for over a year with no problems on a NEW computer.
I have an older comp. with an AMD xp 2700+, 1gb ram, with winXP.
Runs great, but I would never attempt to install Vista. Vista advisor says my vid card isn't good enough.
Vista advisor may say you can run Vista with a few upgrades, but it won't run as good as your XP runs now.
Theres a big difference with minimum requirements and what is actually needed to run smoothly.
Bottom line, don't switch to Vista until you can afford a WHOLE new machine.
