Closing Laptop Lid Turns off External Monitor

I have my laptop connected to my tv screen. Everything was fine, I boot up the laptop, close its lid I still have the dektop on the external screen. Settings in power management still read "do nothing when I close the lid" and everything else for that matter. Now all of a sudden when I close the laptop lid I lose the desktop on external screen. Power options are still set as "Do Nothing". It's driving me crazy!! Any Ideas guys
