welcome to TSG, imyu

this is the introductions forum....a place to introduce yourself, not your problem.

many forums have "stickies" posted at the top of them...it's a good idea to read them: they have a lot of valuable information

i'm moving this to a forum where you should get some help...if you'd like, come back to the introductions forum, start a thread and tell everyone a bit about yourself.

a solution that worked
hey relax not an issue at all, just try these simple steps :
1. right click on 'My Coputer icon'
2. select properties from the menu,
3. than click on Advance tab among the options on top, usually the last
4. now, under the heading 'Startup and Recovery' click settings,
5. finally click the 1st option saying time to dispalylist of operating system, u may also select your default OS from the dropdown arrow above,
6. once u have performed these steps, click Ok on all the windows and restart your pc.

All The Best

How are your partitions set up? Is XP on a primary or extended partition?

In any case, it would be worth a try to use VistabootPro or EasyBCD and be sure that both XP and Vista are in the Vista boot registry, that the Vista partition is the default boot partition. These will usually run OK from XP and make the needed changes unless XP is on an extended partition.
