So, would you prescribe reverting back to XP or investing in a new printer/scanner/fax?

Going back to XP will be major surgery .. My patient is still recovering.
You will also loose all your HP OEM supplied applications.
My prescription would be a new Scanner/Printer.

If you get an HP .. Personally, I would not install the whole Image Zone program.
You may have it already .. in your HP.
If you're lucky .. It may automatically install the Twain driver you need.

What about upgrading to ultimate? Does that have any more issues than the home premium edition?
Thanks again for all the tips. You guys are great!

I have a HP Scanjet 4670 and a Canon CanoScan LiDE25 running on my Vista laptop. All you need is the Vista twain driver from HP and/or Canon. Do NOT try to install any of the software that came with the scanner. The XP software will NOT work and may create a lot of other issues.
