Problem with BBC Download Manager
Hi

I have an Advent 9112 laptop running Vista. Installed BBC download manager recently and everything worked fine. Now it won't start up at all. I have tried unistall / reinstall but you just double click and nothing happens. Computer behaving like it isn;t installed at all. Everything else is working fine.

Be sure your firewall is not blocking the program.

Have you tried System Restore?

Thanks for your suggestion. Tried system restore but system won't allow to restore at any of the restore points. Will try the firewall.

No luck. Have tried to turn firewall off and it makes no difference!

Also seemed to have the same problem with 4 on demands equivalent which i have just uninstalled. Do they use similar programs or something!!??

This would suggest you have a problem larger than just the BBC Dwn/Manager issue. I'd run some virus and spyware scans. Also, use an on line scan as well as the AV on the computer.
