Solved: vista update causes loss of wireless printer
This morning an automatic update to windows took place. Since then my wireless lexmark X4550 all in one printer has stayed resolutely off line. If I try to run it as administrator and click 'run online' I get a message 'arguments invalid' What has happened and has anyone else had the same problem. The update was Security update KB950582

re configured printer, first as usb then wireless using wireless configuration utility which comes with printer and now all ok. what caused it, though, a mystery.

It was probably just the fact that your printer ran on the old version of Vista ( prior to the update) and now needed to be reconfigured. That simple. Hope this helps.
