ive tried them in every port and nothing happens

my camera is powered by batteries?
and my mp3 player uses a thing i dont know how to explain it theres a usb piece that plugs into a square plug with 2 lights on it and i just plug it in the wall and it charges it

I reviewed the thread, but I think you've anything I can think of. I suspect you have something corrupted in the registry, but I can't imagine what it is.

Have you tried running MSCONFIG and disabling all the stuff that is being run at startup?

How about booting in Safe Mode to see if new USB devices work that way?

Something else that comes to mind is perhaps a repair of the Windows installation if you have Vista disks, I'm assuming this is Vista from the screen shots.

I'm thinking a reinstall may be the only "sure" way to fix it....

With your operating system cd or dvd. You'll need to make sure you have anything important saved elsewhere, dvds, cds, external drives, whatever you have.
