Exclamation Document flip Error
Ok...so I recently (few days ago) did a windows vista update...like I always do...and it proceeded to screw up my system badly. So heres what Ive done so far in an attempt to correct these problems.

1: Dell Factory Image Restore = result: no help

2: Registry Cleaners/repairers = result: no help

3: Reinstall Windows Vista = result: little help but other problems occured.

Ok so now that your up to speed with what Ive done so far. Lets review the problems.

1: Windows document flip (you know that thing that scrolls through the desktop and currently open programs) no longer does that cool effect

2: Winamp is spazing out and everytime I open it (minus it then maximize it) my desktop icons shuffle

3: I cant get Mozilla firefox to display flash correctly. (yes I have the most uptodate flashplayer, its something els causing this problem) Explorer views flash 100% correctly but firefox wont so I know its just a setting somewhere thats wrong.

Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Are you 100% sure all these problems resulted from the last Windows Update installation?

I would be tempted to do firstly a System Restore and see if that fixes the problems.

You also have the options of going to Windows Updates in Control Panel and then uninstalling the last updates one by one til you find there are no problems.

Having said this, you will eventually be faced with renstalling them again down the track ................

I would be kind of surprised if it really was the updates causing all these problems but worth a go anyway!

As I said above ^ I already have done a System Restore.

Oh I guess I should clarify: Dell Factory Image Restore = system restore. Dell just has a different name for it.

And yes this all happened after I did a windows update. Then restarted the computer and it did that "Configuring updates Step 3 of 3" thing. And that is the exact moment things started screwing up.

System Restore does not and will not correct the problems.

As stated above I have Reinstalled the OS and it fixed alot of the problems I was having but now I have new problems and Only need to have the new problems fixed.
