Exclamation Solved: Error 0x80070570
I am on an Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista. I've had it for about a month and it hasnt given me any problems. But for the last couple days my computer has not been letting me move, copy, paste, or delete files.
When I to do any of these things this message popup appears:

"An unexpected error is preventing the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem:
Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Preferably a step by step process, if there is one?? Thanks to anyone who has any input.

Try doing a virus scan, it's probably a virus.

It's not a virus.

Check this link out:

Follow the steps listed in there and you should be able to fix your problem. If it doesn't work, just let us know and we'll see what else we can do.
