Unhappy No sound in WMP on Vista
I can't get sound with WMP when I go to a web site with streaming video

Two suggestions. First (the obvious one) is make sure your sound drivers are all up to date. Second, disable sound enhancements:

Control Panel -> Sounds -> Playback Devices

Highlight your speakers and click on the properties tab and click "disable all enhancements"
