Hi guys,

I have a Vista installation that worked just fine for 2 months or so. But now Vista freezes on me just before the log in screen is shown. The machine starts up without any problem: everything seems to work just fine. The mouse cursor shows up and so does the Vista start up timer. But after that the system seems to freeze, although I'm able to move the mouse cursor. After a while even the standard windows screen saver shows up. I have used the Vista system repair option from the installation disk and even rolled back to a savepoint, to no avail. I have used the memory test option, tested my hard disk without any mistakes being reported. Save mode won't start either. Bart's PE starts up just fine.
I am at a totall loss. Do you have any suggestions for me?
