Unhappy Solved: HELP! Nero Install Screwed My Computer.
HI Guys and Gals,

I was just recently installing Nero 8, after the install I started recieving error messages. All my open programs stopped responding, Norton was goin haywire saying I had possibile threats then came to the point where My computer was automatically shutdown.

I'm able to start in safe mofe but when it comes to normal mode I get a blavk screen where the Windows Vista loads. I Tried system restore in safe mode but everytime I get an error in safe mode that the restore wasn't successful.

IS this a common problem? Any Chances of fixing it?? I hope someone can Help.

I'm running a Toshiba Sattelite WIth Windows Vista Home premium If you need anyother specs, I can check only problem is I have to use another computer in order to do this right now. Please help if possible.

Cheers.

Via BitTorrent opens you up to all sorts of nasties (and won't get you any support here as it's considered pirated software) . Go to the Nero site and download the trial of version 8. Test it and if you like it then do as I and many others have - buy it. Version 8 is very good and worth the money.

Welllllll.... I guess I have learnt my lesson. And as all human should do, learn from mistakes. So at my point now I'm not going to use that program anymore due to nasties I was unaware of.

IS there any help I can recieve, so I can actually go onto Nero's website and download the proper trial?

I would suggest as soon as possible you scan for virii, malware, trojabs etc. A lot of torrented files, quite apart from being illegal, contain a vast number of these. As said above, we dont do torrented progs, and in this case it appears to be an illegal d/l. Check for hidden unwanteds before anything else, then get the real ( pay for it) version. 8 should be fine on Vista.
