Solved: No sound in internet or windows sound
i have what seems to be a comon and frustrating problem... its pretty much this...

im on vista, on fujitsu siemens, and using realtek high defintion audio


ive tried the solutions listed here, execpt one, if you go to page 3, paul3 has posted a solution, however when i search for the regedit, i get no results

so if anyone knows how to fix the original problem, or how i can find the registry editor on vistsa id be really grateful

SOLUTION:
Please download the latest Windows updates from:

www.windowsupdate.com


or go here for the patch that fixes the patch:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Brief Description
Install this update to resolve an issue where the Realtek HD Audio Control
Panel may not start after you install security update KB925902 (MS07-017)
and security update KB928843 (MS07-008).

Hi,
Xactly...install this patch.Un-install the Realtek driver,Reboot & Re-install it.

never mind, i have solved the problem, i found regedit, turns out i was using the wrong search

i needed to use the search at the bottom of the start menu, not the one to the right

for anyone who comes across this and has the same problem, follow the link in my first post, got to page 3 and find the post by paul3, follow his instruction
