Itunes Won't Play!
Hi, my iTunes loads fine, but every time I try to play a song (even Music Store previews), it sits there at 0:00!

Usually a reboot solves the problem, but not lately.

I am using Windows Vista, and iTunes 8.0.2.20

Will uninstalling/reinstalling remove my Podcasts??

Help!

I wouldn't suggest re-installing it, it may be just a simple fix.
Have you recently updated iTunes or installed a new program?

Well I did a lot of research, and it seems many people with Vista and iTunes 8 are having the same problem, specifically after the Vista SP1 update.

Any advice?

I have both and I have had some problems also.
None exactly like yours though.
You have to just live with it untill they put out a patch or another upgrade. You can't downgrade iTunes without completely un-installing it and removing all library files.

So your advice is to wait, instead of uninstalling or finding some sort of driver that might be the problem?

If it is a driver for something other than iTunes that is interfer with it then yes do that. It might be hard to trouble shoot that though.

Same problem here!!!
I am having the same exact problem. Sometimes a reboot helps and sometimes it does not. Sometimes ending the itunes and itunes helper processes helps and sometimes not. I wish that I had not invested so much time into organizing my itunes library so that I could switch to another program. I anyone discovers a solution I would be most grateful. Thanks.

Temporary fix found?!

The suggestion in the above URL worked but it does seem to disable certain vista features while itunes is running.
good Luck.
