USBSTOR.SYS causes blue screen of death.
Hello.
Here is my computer spec. that the error occurs:
Intel PD805
DDR2-667 4GB RAM
GF 9600GSO 384MB
WinVista SP1 x64

This problem starts recently, when I plug in my mobile device (W810i), the blue screen of death happens, caused by USBSTOR.SYS. Does anyone know what the solution is? Thank you a lot!

USBSTOR.SYS is a driver belonging to your system, which controls the usb storage when you plug, or unplug anything with a usb port.

I think you should download the newest drivers for your SE w810i for usb storage, I will look for them tomorrow, I have a trip this night and I just "dropped my eye" on new subscriptions on TSG.

See you tomorrow, smartguy01

Hi,
Maybe you should just try changing your cellphone , (just kidding). Have you tried to update your cellphone's firmware? I'm not really sure, but I think that may help.
Thanks

Hmmm, right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced (tab) > Startup and Recovery and uncheck the Automatically Reboot line. Then when the BSOD appears again you need to write down what it says, your computer will not reboot automatically, so when you end with the writing then reboot it by yourself by pressing that little button below your power button (that on which you turn your computer on).

I've taken a photo of the BSOD, maybe it helps.

Thanks so much for help!
