Audio crackling whenever Internet used
Heya,

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place - it's my first time here!

This is a problem that's become increasingly apparent in the last few weeks, to the point where it's become a genuine issue rather than a nuisance. If I'm playing any sort of audio - streaming Youtube videos, windows sounds, music through Media Player etc - at the same time that information is being downloaded through my internet connection (even opening a webpage), the audio crackles and pops until the download is complete.

Although opening a page doesn't cause a huge issue, as the audio only crackles and stutters for a second or two, downloading a larger file makes the audio unusable. This happens when using both Firefox and Internet Explorer, and only through wireless, since I haven't got the opportunity to try out a cabled connection. It happens regardless of power scheme, and is unaffected by whether or not the laptop is plugged in. It isn't a question of slow internet either, since multiple other computers in the house access the internet without any stuttering audio at all.

This is happening on a two-month old laptop with the following specs:

Acer Aspire 5920G
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 at 2.0Ghz, 667Mhz FSB and 2MB L2 Cache
4GB DDR2 RAM
802.11 a/b/g Wireless support via an Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG adapter
250GB HDD with the following model number: WDC WD2500BEVS-22UST0
The audio device is simply as listed as Realtek High Definition Audio

Windows Vista Home Premium, fully updated - if it makes a difference, the crackling only started after using Windows update a few times.

The only yellow exclamation mark I have in my Device Manager is next to the 6to4 Adapter under Network Adapters, but from what I can tell, removing it or trying to update the driver doesn't really achieve anything, since I don't believe my laptop is using 6to4 anyway.

There are no additional devices plugged into the laptop. To be honest, I'd have though a relatively high-powered laptop like this would be capable of running a browser and a media player at the same time!

Any help would be massively appreciated, and if I have omitted anything important, please tell me! Thanks a bunch
