Unhappy Could not load or run 'blank' specified in the registry
Help... whenever I log on to my account in windows vista (home premium), I encounter this message "Could not load or run ' ' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry." I already tried CCleaner, registry cleaner, antivirus and anti-malware programs but no luck. I also tried the autorun suggested in one thread but I couldnt find a blank registry entry in my regedit. How can I find the ' ' in my registry to delete it? Its so annoying. This message doesnt show whenever I log on to other users account. Hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

Registry cleaners will only damage your computer and may have made the situation worse. Restore whatever they removed to avoid future problems and a slow machine.

Use a startup manager to check for startup programs that have invalid entries.

Startup Control Panel
MZ Startup Manager
Startup Control Panel (Exe version for Vista)
Emsa Startup Manager
EM Startup Manager
WheresJames Startup Manager

Startup Programs Reference

Autoruns will show all startups. Or is that the one you tried?

Hi Elvandil, thanks for replying. I have tried the autorun but I couldnt find any blank 'image path' - am I looking for the right registry here? I have tried to uncheck all startup program in autorun under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run , C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup , and HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run under Logon tab but no luck. I dont want to go further unchecking other fields and do a trial and error thing because Im afraid I might crash my system. So I decided to post my problem here for some expert advice. How and where can I find the ' ' thing in autorun if it is blank? Theres no blank Autorun Entry when I run autorun.exe. There are 3 entries however that have 'File not found' entry in column 'image path'. I already tried to uncheck them and reboot, but the message is still there so I check them again. Please tell me what to do, I appreciate it :-)
