Network between windows 7 and XP
Hi
Is it possible to set-up a network between windows 7 and XP?
Windows 7 uses a homegroup which only only works between multiple windows 7 OS.
The weird thing is I can see the shared win 7 files on the xp machine but not the other way around.

Yes, I have added my Windows 7 test machine to my Workgroup and it works like it is designed to.

Ditto, I haven't messed around with Homegroup; just workgroup it and go. Any other problems that crop up are probably related to the shares and/or security.

Then it just may be the firewall that is on the XP machine and is blocking the other's IP address.
