No connections available?
I got a new computer with a vista, and I need to connect to a wireless network I have at my home.
The problem is that when I go to "Connect To" nothing shows up.
Not a single wireless thingy ma bob.

I can connect directly to the router I have (which is what I'm doing now), but how do I make it so that I can connect wirelessly to my router so I can bring this computer somewhere else?

Also make sure your (integrated) wireless is switched on.

Does your desktop have a wirless device to connect with? It sure would be easier to help you if we had a clue to your hardware including router and isp type of connection.

Um, I'm using a Belkin, and I don't know my ISP.
The two links that was posted didn't really help, the second one contained some buttons that I can't find on my vista 64 bit.

I'm not sure if my has a wireless in it, now that I think about it.
How do I check? (I can't open it up)

Belkin not only makes many different products they make more than one model of router.

When you purchase a new computer it's always a good idea to check the specs and find out what you're paying for. But maybe you "got a new computer" as a gift or something. Anyhow, see what's listed in Device Manager under Network Adapters. Also look to see if there are any warning or errors in Device Manager.

Also see what is listed for network adapters...see if there is a wireless adapter even listed.
