Exclamation Serious Vista performance problems
Hello I have Windows Vista and in the Event Viewer it lists about 100 warnings that read like "Sharp degradation in system responsiveness has occured" or "Desktop Windows Manager experiencing heavy resource contention" "application took longer than usual to start up" and a few errors and a critical error.

So I went to the performance reliability console and It gives me an error: Access denied message even though I am an adminstrator and disabled that damn UAC. How the hell am I supposed access the performance reliability console? Vista is a pain in the ***...

Need more info. you need to post specs, such as CPu, memory, hard drive, PSU, and whether you have system problems, if so what ( slow boot, programmes slow etc).
You disabled UAC, which gives you less control over wat happens. Things can install and you wont even know it. As for a pain, I find many problems are meatware probs. My Vista works fine, As far a sopening consoles, if you leave UAC on, you can continue the op, if you turm it off, yo ulose it. Would suggest you right click on it and choose run as admin.

I disabled UAC so I don't need to right click and Run as admin. That option is automatically disabled since UAC is deactivated. My processor is a 2.8 ghz dual core I have 3 BG RAM. Needless to say my pc was running a lot faster on Day One.
