Exclamation itunes problem on windows vista
I installed Itunes (second time) on instructions from an Apple tech and I still get the "Itunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of windows. For best results turn off compatibility mode before opening Itunes."
First of all when you right click the icon for Itunes, there is no compatibility 'tab' to change.
I've uninstalled, and reinstalled and get the same msg over and over again. ALSO , the ipod i'm trying to get music on to has about 471 tunes already. They don't show up when Tunes is opened. The ipod is reconized, but no tracks appear. Now the ipod is 3 yrs old. it's a 5th generation Ipod, from 2006.
ANY HELP ANYONE CAN OFFER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
We just got the new pc in January 09.. Windows Vista was on it, and I'm not a friend of it. I liked my xp on my media center pc. Oh, and this is hubbys ipod.. 30 gb.

Welcome to TSG mrs h. Right click the Itunes icon, scroll down and select Properties.

A box will open and and you will see the tab marked Compatibility.
Uncheck the first box Compatibility Mode. Click on Apply and Okay.

Angry itunes problem in vista
I must have a different Itunes Icon on my desktop, because when I right click, go to properties, there is no tab for compatiblity.

These are the tabs: general, shortcut, security, details.

Now quicktime does have the 5 tabs, but I don't have a problem with Quicktime. I still get the same msg.. I just keep closing the box.
