Need computer jargon translated
This is on a windows Vista 64-bit edition with Service Pack 1 on a HP Pavilion PC. The crashes seems to be happen like ones a week at random ever since I download a demo for crysis, but I have uninstall it so may have just been a coincidence. Other then it seems happening one a week there is no other pattern or trigger to it, It has happen in a middle game (TF2) reading e-mail (IE) and even when just idle. When it happens I get a blue screen and something about dumping memory. Then when I restart I get this message.

hi and welcome this is what i found it is the same for vista
0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
A system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. There are numerous individual causes for this problem, including hardware incompatibility, a faulty device driver or system service, or some software issues. Check Event Viewer (EventVwr.msc) for additional information.
0x1000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M
Essentially the same error as 0x7E above. the 3 files you mention at the bottom of your post would be usefull to one of the folks here who can read them if you can attach them to your next post it may help them find the probable culprit

Hi . . .

I'll run the memory dumps. I need system info, too. This will collect dumps & system info -

Download Live SysInternals AutoRuns from Microsoft TechNet and SAVE it to your DOCUMENTS folder.

Next, download THIS zip file and extract the lone batch script file to your DESKTOP. Then go to desktop, RIGHT-click on the batch file icon and select "Run as Administrator".

It will run for approximately 5-8 minutes. You'll see status info scroll on the small black cmd/DOS screen. Other windows will open and close. No user interaction is required during this process - just let it run. The only exception may be for SysInternals AutoRuns - the EULA may appear at which time simply click on "Accept".

The resulting output can be found in a newly created sub-folder of Documents and is named TGS_Vista_Support. You'll have to split files in folder up & make multiple zips - zip file attachment limit = 500kb.

Also, run a Vista System Health Report - save in HTML default format:
START | type perfmon /report - a viewer will appear. Save as an HTML file. Zip up and attach to next post.

Any ? - please let me know.

Regards. . .
