Hi, i am using a HP G7000 laptop and i tried to watch a tv program from the internet, it said i need to install a new version of flash. the installation was codec.exe which i ran, this seemed to install something called Win PC defender. i then removed this but my laptop showed a BSOD and shutdown. This was not the first time i saw the blue screen, it said dumping physical memory.
When i tried to restart my laptop it would not start in normal mode, it freezes at a black screen just before the vista logo is due to flash up. I have to hold the power button to shutdown the computer.
i can start in in safe mode and safe mode with networking (which i am currently on).
I have ran Spyware Doctor which found adware and 2 trojans: Trojan.VX2_Look2Me and Trojan.Popuper.
These were successfully removed.
I am not sure what to do other than take it to a repair shop, but i dont really want to pay to get it repaired.
