Exclamation Vista Boot Error (Blue Screen On Start Up)
Hi Folks,

I have a pretty serious problem. My computer (vista 64 bit) won't boot. He starts loading windows, then he just goes into a blue screen(flashes can't write down info or see it its fast). I tries running start up recovery from dvd and system recovery, both dont do anything and either fail or jsut have no effect on the problem.

Help would be greatly appreciated as I have been sitting at this problem for a very very long time.

Thanks

G C:
Hello & welcome to tech guy forum.

Which Vista? Which service pack?

When did the computer last work well? Was the blue screen the 1st sign of trouble? If not, what preceded the blue screen?

Turn off / shut down your computer. As soon as you turn it on, begin tapping the F8 key once a second until the Windows advanced options menu appears.

See this page for step by step instructions to disable the automatic restart, which should allow the blue screen to remain. Use a digital camera or write down the entire message & post it here.

Which computer brand, model, model #? If not a major manufacturer, which motherboard?

Would you describe yourself as a beginning, intermediate or advanced computer user?

Thanks very much , the system:

Mobo: Evga Nforce 790i Ultra SLI
CPU: Intel Q8300 2.5GHZ
RAM: OCZ 2000MHZ SLI READY
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB Hard Drive
GPU: BFG GTS 250 OC 1GB
OS: Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I would consider myself a fairly advanced user, but it seems the more you know the less you know.

Allright here is the picture of the blue screen.

This seems to be roughly the same problem im having. However, when mine Blue Screens, it says everything your's does, except, underneath the 1st Paragraph, it says 'UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME', then says everything else your's says, except the 3rd paragraph of your Blue Screen.

What steps have you taken to try to fix the issue? Which web pages have you visited? I do not want to suggest steps to fix your issue if you have already tried those steps, G C.

Do you have a Vista OS DVD?

Did you build the computer?

Did the problem begin after you enabled BitLocker?
