Will Windows 7 download and use anything 32bit unlike Vista 64bit
I noticed that with the pre-installed Vista, it has some use with 32bit internet and 64bit. But when I download a 32bit program it won't work.
For instance> System Mechanic Pro anti-virus program. It says it won't work with a 64bit system. With Windows 7, will it work?

Thank you!

I was told that any program that states it will work with Vista will work with 64 bit and windows 7. Vista programs have 32 and 64 bit drivers it is said. sure hope so I just bought a 64 bit system on this info.

That is true! But, now here is the kicker. You have what I have. A Vista program that has 32 bit and 64 bit driver, but won't accept many programs unless it specifically says, Vista compatible. That is where I am hoping Windows 7 will allow programs that not only will work in Vista 64 bit, but Windows XP 32 bit as well. Just so you can understand what I mean without doing anything harmful to your computer...try to download IE8. You can't do it. Yet the funny thing is....we have 32 bit driver supposabley. I am not sure I believe it..LOL! Thank you for writing so quickly!

If your system is of 32 Bit version then it cannot run Applications of 64 Bit versions. It is still very much early to say anything about Windows 7.
