Exclamation HP 530 Vista Problem, PLEASE HELP
Hey, i have just (attempted to) install the SP2 Pack for Vista, however, i didnt know whether my laptop was running x86, or x64, so i took a shot and went for x86, but once it restarted, it booted back up and there was a black screen with some writing on it, that was on there for about 5 minutes until i turned of the laptop, then i turned it back on, and the screen was black, its just black D: i really need some help, i would appreiciate it so much, thank you.

Last step
Does it go to BIOS? Load the OS? Logon screen? If it does not even load BIOS you have more issues than just the OS....If you cannot load the OS get your windows install CD and recover it using setup, vista SP2 beta is not for everyone and really no need unless you are tech savvy as recommended by microsoft.

So no BIOS
If it does not even load the BIOS screen, which has the HP logo on it a CD will not help. If it goes past BIOS thana recovery CD should save you, but if no BIOS you have issues with the CPU or BIOS chip, neither of which are funh to fix.
