Question Windows Vista Ultimate or Windows 7 RC?
I really am stuck here.

Vista Ultimate...or...Win7 RC?

I was thinking of getting Ultimate, until i found out about 7, and i'm really not sure.

I LOVE the new look and features of Win7, but im not sure whether it's enough to beat V. Ultimate.

So.

It's either Win7 RC now, or Vista Ultimate until the full Win7 is out.

What would you do?

Thanks

Go for Windows 7 RC. It will expire next year in March. So need not worry, very much time is there till then. Use Windows 7 it has many advance features than Vista.

Yes right.
But Windows 7 is not only meant for gamers but it has also many advanced Security aspects also for normal Stand Alone Desktop Work or in a Network.

Windows 7, I would say, the release candidate is build 7100, Windows 7 Ultimate and 7 is supposed to be Vista with all the problems ironed out and greatly enhanced security

I'm running Vista Home Premium SP2 http://www.imagechicken.com/uploads/...1053539600.jpg and haven't had any problems. Win 7 has a few bugs. http://tinyurl.com/qevmfk

Hi jls

Don't get me wrong I am not saying that Vista is rubbish it just had a few problems mainly relating to slow file transfer speeds which were still there after SP 1 had been released now with SP 2 I can't really comment my own personal experience of Vista was from customer's feedback at my last job, I tried out Vista back when it was a release candidate and although I really liked the new way of doing things I opted to wait for a while before buying it, after all it took Microsoft 5 years to get XP right, now, I am looking at Windows 7 RC and am really liking what I see, it reminds me of Vista but I understand that there are a lot of internal changes and optimizations and seems to be amazingly stable for a release candidate

The only problem i have had is task bar flicker..it was only the task bar the windows and desktop were fine, both times though i had many things going,30 to 40,,so i cant complain..hitting a couple close buttons fixed it right up.
