notice there are 2 uninstalls - one for the browser (SweetIM for IE - in case of firefox TB you need to remove it via FF). the other one is SweetIM for IM. also - notice that you'll need to restart before seeing it was removed.
It turns out that my SweetIM was related to Bandoo ... I took out Bandoo, and I am now fairly certain that SweetIM is gone ...
They tell you there are no Ads or Spyware; they don't mention that it re-routes sites and is an unwanted BHO ...
For some time now, certain searches would re-route to sweetIm, and that wasn't a terrible problem. Of course, I was curious as to how and why sweetim had become my "404" website , but it was doing no harm. I re-wrote the search, and went on about my business. But then I joined a group, and when I attempted to log on , I was re-directed to sweetIM -- now, THAT upset me !
When I signed up for Bandoo , i had no intention to acquire SweetIM
When I attempted to get rid of SweetIM , it was nowhere to be found on my machine; that was especially disturbing : who hid it / disguised it , and why?
I did not want to get rid of Bandoo to get rid of SweetIM, but its failure to show up in Program Files , Add / Remove Programs , or the Registry was enough to indicate that it had to go.
If you want an app like that on your computer, te salute !
