Question Installing Windows XP (32 bits) when having Windows Vista (64 bits) installed.
I want to know how to have a boot screen prompting for both operating systems.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if this software could i use it after installing Windows XP?
Because the Windows Vista boot loader would be disabled, so i could not start Windows Vista.

After you install Xp boot up the PC with Vista installation Disc and click "Repair". The BCDedit will rebuild the boot loader for you. If not read the BEDedit, bootrec and bootsect help pages inside Command Prompt of Vista (equivalent to Recovery Console of Xp).

The NT version of Windows of Win2k and Xp uses NTLDR which is incapable of booting Vista and Win7.

The newer Windows have bootmgr which alter the booting procedure completely.

If you install a NT version of Windows after bootmgr you have to let bootmgr to take the control. bootmgr does not destroy NTLDR. It simpler pass the control to NTLDR when you choose to boot Xp.

In other word you must have both NTLDR and bootmge in the PC if you want to run Xp and Vista. There is no escape.
