Exclamation Set association
Hi can any one help with my problem, after useing regcure for one problem which it did not cure, it has given me a few more to deal with, there is one i can't get my head round. If i try to open any of the games that came with vista i now get this massage: This file doe's not have a program associated with it for performing this action, create an association in the set association, control panal. The problem is i have no idear what program to associate it with, the games are solitaire, freecall, mahjong titans ect; thanks kopmike

kopmike, this regcure utility that you used, is it signed by a verified publisher?

As a rule of thumb I never install Windows software that is not signed by a verified publisher.

Avoid registry "cleaners" like the plague, they do more harm and no good, which you've found out.
Does regcure create backups of what it removes? If so I'd restore from there & see if things go back to normal.

Failing that, try a System Restore to a time before regcure wreaked its havoc.

Restore the backup from Regcure before you start finding even more problems that it caused, and maybe can't even boot. Uninstall it.

Then, set your file associations with the Folder Options applet, or one of these tools:

Types
FileTypesMan
FileAssociate
