Solved: Loading Data
I have a Vista and a few days ago I got a blue screen. I called a guy from a local internet company to come over after work to look at it. He said I needed to buy a new harddrive. Now I do not have a blue screen but the system has been working for 6 hours formating the blank hard drive. The guy who installed it told me to call him back in 24 hours if nothing changes. Is this normal?

Not really, he should have stayed for the format/ install process if you paid him to fix your PC. Sometime the install doesn't go exactly right, as your PC is demonstrating right now.

I can install Vista in about an hour with 160GB drive formatted. Thats time from opening the case and starting the driver install from within Vista, on the internet.
