Vista Random Freezes

I am running windows Vista Premium, bought new, no upgrade.

It will randomly freeze up. Sometimes just after start up, sometimes while its idling, or the screen saver is up. No consistant reason. Tried a re-install having the same issue.

Running an ASUS motherbaord. 2GB Ram. AMD processor. 32 bit windows Vista.

overheating is not an issue. and the power supply is rated for 500W.

Any ideas.
