Moving from Ubuntu 9.04 to Windows 7, need help
I think I am ready to go back to Windows, for many reasons. I may be back later on, who knows.

Anyways, I know the .iso file for the W7 RC requires a DVD, but as I have no DVD burner, a USB key is the only choice. The only instructions I see on how to do this are Windows XP/Vista based, nothing on 9.04. Could anyone here give me a list of instructions on how to format the USB key to prepare for mounting, and the rest of steps to boot W7 from the usb drive? Thanks so much in advance.

You can't afford $25 for a DVD burner?
And do you really want to run a pre release version of an OS as your main OS? Start reading some of the horror stories in this forum category and you may think twice about that.

Did you actually do a Google Search for "Windows 7 USB install", because I got a couple thousand relevant hits on that.

I think I know what you are getting at now.
This may seem like a half baked work around but it may just work.

1. Install Virutal Box for Linux.
2. Install Windows 7 inside Virtual Box using the Windows 7 ISO file.
3. Now you have a Windows Environment to work with.
4. Now use one of the many "Windows" based tutorials to Create a USB bootable drive with Windows 7.
