Can anyone else decipher what this agent told me? He says that it is just an "online error" and that the upgrade is indeed available with the Studio 17. However, it says clearly on the website (
http://www.dell.com/windows7 - which I provided to him) that only certain PCs are eligible. Furthermore, when I go to actually customize/build the Studio 17 (which is not listed as eligible), nowhere does it say that the upgrade is included. However, when I go to build the Studio 15 (which is listed as eligible), the upgrade is an option.
Here's my conversation with the Dell agent:

5:26:29 PM Me: When I try to build the Studio 17 and chose the OS it does not show the upgrade offer. The only option available is Vista Home Premium

After he said it's an online error, I just gave up. I feel like he doesn't know what he's talking about. If so, he is the second misinformed Dell representative I spoke with this week.
