trouble opening programs
All my programs want to open with windows media player...none of them will open at all. I don't have any idea what I did although I'm sure I did something...how can I fix this problem. I searched and found some stuff like this, but none of it seems the same. I have an HP computer with Vista 6, 2048 mb, IE 7, and Norton 360....Help, please...

Thanks, the video didn't solve my problem, but it did help me ... I don't know how to say this, but it looks like I don't have any 'jpg' files...every file has '.lnk' behind it...every one of them...what is that? Is that what is wrong?

thanks...
Hey Joeten, thank you so much for all your help. I'm sorry I'm such a dumbass when it comes to computers, but I can still have my 45 collection of Beatle singles, my first car had an AM radio and an added on 8 track player........my grandson came over this morning and saved all my pictures on this little thing he carries around on his keychain, then deleted me from the computer and added me back. So, it is working well enough for me now to find my email and stay in touch with the old chiefs network...

again, thank you so much for your patient help.

old sea-frog, jimi

Ps- I guess we mark this one solved through attrition...
