mploc WMP

My Windows Media Player 11 on Vista has glitched. When i try to open it a pop up box comes up saying;

"The file mploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6001.7004 where 11.0.6001.7000 was expected. Windows Media Player is not properly installed and must be reinstalled"

I tried downloading the setup again from the microsoft website but when i attempt to reinstall it, it prompts that i have a newer version of WMP and the setup cannot reinstall a newer version of WMP.

Help? I want to listen to music, but it seems that i can't.
