2 problems - need help, pleeeease
Hiya,

Am new here (and not very good with PCs/ laptops - in other words I know way too little about them!), so not sure if I'm posting on the right forum.

Problem one - my partner has a laptop, and since this afternoon every time he uses an application it just scrolls to the bottom of it automatically. Even when he opens the start menu, it keeps running through all options from top to bottom, to start from the top again. He has to press F10 to stop it, but it only works temporarily.

Problem two - By accident I installed Tablet PC Input Panel 6.0.6001 (it was part of a windows update a few months ago) - since that day I have to use the mouse as the touchpad is no longer responding at all. I can't move the cursor without a mouse. I couldn't even find it on the list of programs on my laptop, therefore I wasn't able to remove it. How do I get rid of it? Has anyone got the same problem?

We both use Windows Vista, if that helps.

Btw I love this smiley !!!!

Howdy,

Problem one sounds like maybe a sticking key on the keyboard

Second problem.....do you have the make and model of the laptop?

Hiya,
thanks for the quick response - it's definitely not a sticky key - we already investigated the option. It's the arrow up key that sets it off, and now even F10 no longer temporarily stops it.

My laptop is an Acer5710 - does that help?

For the Touch pad try the link below......Under MS Windows Vista.Drivers click the dropdown arrow and choose Touchpad drive
Download it to your desktop and install it and restart the PC
