data (E:) Drive
I have a drive on my computer which is Data (E
it says that the file system is NTFS and when i right click and properties it says that it is Local Disk and umm i think thats pretty much about it.
My (C Drive says basicaly exactly the same, except theres alot of stuff in it, and I know that installing a simple game will make it full.
How can i start using Data (E
im guessing it would be safe to just start saving things on it like I do with (C ?
thans

Normally it functions the same as C: you can copy files directly to it like you would between folders and during program installations when prompted for installation location you can specify that drive instead.

On my computer I have a C: D: and E: drive on C is just windows I install all programs to D and keep all media files on E.

However some computers and configurations use another drive (partition) to store the systems swap file or a recovery partition.

Try double clicking the drive to open it then click Tools and choose Folder Options.

Select the View tab and ensure Show hidden files and folders is checked and Hide protected operating system files is unchecked.

If you see files list a few of them here for further information if it is still blank then it should be safe to use.
