windows vista internet help
Last week my computer was infected with a pretty nasty virus. I live in Italy and the only computer guy in my town is on vacation until next week...
There was a virus, but everything was working fine in safe mode until today. I've been running Advanced System Care and yesterday I ran IObit Freeware and am afriad that when I was getting rid of virus files that were detected, I must have deleted something that caused my internet to stop working. I have tried twice the system restore and it says that it didn't work. I have a wireless internet connection and it detects it but I am unable to connect. Are there any suggestions as to what I can do to at least make my internet function again until i can have someone look at it? THANKS.

Likely your best option is to backup your important files, then reformat and reinstall. Once certain viruses/malware take hold, there often is no way to remove them.

Try taking your problem to the Malware Removal thread to see if they can help you clean it up. But I would not get your hopes up.
